About Mushroom Commons

A public beta for Canada's mushroom economy

Mushroom Commons is an independent, neutral resource for Canada's emerging mushroom economy. We map and explain the sector, make the people building it more visible, and develop practical tools the sector actually needs. We are in public beta, which means the site is deliberately small and openly incomplete. We would rather show real, sourced work and improve it with the community than publish a finished looking site full of placeholders.

What we stand for

We do not sell products, take commissions, or accept paid placement. We take no share of the sales, or the visibility, of the people and products we cover. That independence is the point, because it is what lets our information, and in time our product transparency work, be trusted. We fund our own work through research, advisory, and grants. If you want to commission that work, see Work with us.

Who we are

Mushroom Commons is built by an independent team. A fuller team description will be added once the identity is confirmed. The platform shares methods and learning with Seaweed Commons, while the two platforms remain independent.

How to take part

List your organization, suggest a correction, contribute expertise, or tell us what the sector needs most. Every contribution helps shape what we build next.
